Steps to Getting Started with CSUMB Online Learning

1. Select the course you are interested in from our Online Course List.
   
   
2. Register for the course or courses you have selected, Online courses are available in a variety of formats, Registration instructions may vary for different categories of courses. Click on the appropriate "Registration" link next to the course category for specific instructions.
   
   
3. Download your free copy of the FirstClass email program (if you do not already have FirstClass) and watch for instructions.* An account will automatically be set up for you shortly after registering. The university and your instructor will use this account to communicate with you. Be sure to check it regularly for messages from your instructor. Information on FirstClass and Free Download.
   
   
4. Login to Blackboard no later than three working days prior to class and follow the instructions.** Login Instructions and Information on Blackboard.

**Some courses may not have a Blackboard component. If you do not locate a course in Blackboard contact, the course instructor or the office of the institute or department that offers the course for the correct Web address. This information can be found on the Course Schedules page.
